About

Nick Calkins opened Canoe Club in 2007 on the shores of Lake Lotawana, about 30 minutes from downtown KC, and runs the place with his wife Leigh—you'll often find them behind the bar or running food. Flip-flops and well-behaved kids are genuinely welcome, the patio overlooks the lake, and the kitchen knows what it's doing with their famous phish tacos and nightly specials that keep locals coming back.
