Chappell's opened in 1986 as a political and sports-themed bar & grill before evolving into an upscale casual family spot. The walls are loaded with KC sports memorabilia that gives the place real character, and the kitchen turns out solid portions of familiar fare—reviewers consistently praise the sandwiches and chicken dishes.
