Stockyards Brewing Co. opened in 2016 in the historic Stockyards District, occupying the former home of the Golden Ox, a legendary Kansas City steakhouse that once hosted everyone from cowboys to presidential candidates. The brewery kept the original mahogany paneling and stained-glass ceiling while making straightforward, unpretentious beer for the neighborhood, and live music happens every Sunday afternoon.
