About

The Majestic is a Kansas City steakhouse and jazz venue housed in a 1911 building with deep roots in the city's prohibition era—it once served as a speakeasy with a secret alley entrance and tunnel to the Opera House. The kitchen sources USDA Choice and Prime beef dry-aged in-house, while the Jazz Club downstairs features lively trios in intimate low ceilings, and the main dining room hosts solo pianists beneath a restored tin ceiling and a Jack O'Hara mural of local jazz legends. With over 300 whiskeys on hand and reservations essential for the Jazz Club, it's built for a serious night out steeped in Kansas City history.
